Osmani Museum in Sylhet commemorates General M. A. G. Osmani, commander-in-chief of the Bangladesh Forces during the Liberation War. Set in his former home, Noor Monjil, the museum offers visitors a more personal way to explore a significant chapter of the country’s history.
The museum opened on 4 March 1987 in the Dhopadighirpar area. Sylhet District Administration describes a collection of Osmani’s personal belongings, historical documents, photographs and paintings associated with his life and the Liberation War.
