Looking for the right Sylhet bus stand? Start with your destination and the boarding point on your ticket. Kadamtali Central Bus Terminal, Kumargaon Bus Stand and individual company counters serve different journeys. A ticket-sales office is not always the place where you board the bus.
This guide helps you choose where to enquire, understand the main terminal names and avoid travelling across the city to the wrong counter.

Kadamtali Central Bus Terminal, Sylhet
Kadamtali, also written Kadamtoli or Kodomtoli, is in the South Surma area of Sylhet. “Sylhet Central Bus Terminal” commonly refers to the terminal in this area. Government transport information identifies Kadamtali as a starting point for journeys towards Moulvibazar and Habiganj, while BRTC lists several services departing from Kadamtali Bus Terminal.
If your ticket says Kadamtali, ask which counter or gate to use. Do not assume that every coach associated with the neighbourhood departs from the same bay. Share the operator’s full name and your destination with the person taking you there.

Kumargaon Bus Stand and Sunamganj travel
Government information on Sylhet’s district connections identifies Kumargaon as the bus stand for Sunamganj-bound travel. It is a different departure area from Kadamtali. Confirm the exact stopping point in Sunamganj and the onward connection if your final destination is outside the town.
For a haor trip, reaching Sunamganj is only one part of the journey. Boat arrangements, local road transport and seasonal access need their own planning. Ask your accommodation or trip organiser which arrival point best fits your itinerary before booking a bus.
Company counters around Sylhet
Some operators list several Sylhet offices, so “Sylhet counter” is not a sufficiently precise boarding instruction. As an example, Green Line’s official Sylhet counter list includes Mazar Gate, Subhanighat and Humayun Rashid Chattar.

These are published enquiry contacts, not a guarantee that any particular departure boards at that office. Confirm your ticket’s pickup arrangements directly. For other companies, use their own official channels instead of copying a phone number from an old social post.
Sylhet bus tickets, fares and timetables
The cost depends on your destination, operator, coach class and travel date. Check the fare for the actual departure you intend to use and whether luggage or other charges apply. This page does not reproduce older fare tables as current prices.
For BRTC journeys, consult the official passenger-service information and confirm the current timetable with the relevant depot or counter. A published timetable is useful for planning, but it should not replace checking a time-sensitive departure.
