Water colour, clarity and the exposed riverbed vary with rainfall and river levels. A photograph taken in another season may look very different from the scene on your visit. Take time to enjoy the landscape rather than expecting a guaranteed clear-water view.
The wider Jaflong area includes tea gardens and Khasi communities. If you would like to visit a village or estate, ask about access first.
