Getting from Sylhet to Jaflong

 

Jaflong is approximately 60 kilometers from Sylhet city, and the journey usually takes about two hours by road.

  • By CNG or car: Hiring a private CNG (auto-rickshaw) or car is the most common way to travel. A round trip can cost between 1,300 to 1,700 Taka.
  • By bus: For a cheaper option, you can take a bus from Sylhet city. You can find buses leaving from Ambar Khana. 
 

Key attractions in Jaflong

 

    • : The border area where the 

      Piyain River

       flows from India into Bangladesh. You can see the Indian side, including a hanging bridge in the distant Dawki town.

    • Piyain River: Enjoy a boat ride on the crystal-clear waters of this river, which brings rolling stones down from the Indian hills. The riverbed is a great place to sit and relax, but be mindful of the strong currents and quicksand.

    • Khasi Village
